Elevator Cabin Configurator
Production Data & Assets
1. Product Data & Catalogues
- Cabin finish / material list — finish name, specification code, category (laminate / metal / textile / stone), and one reference image per finish.
- Ceiling range — each design with its model code and light-fitting arrangement.
- Flooring range — options with specification codes.
- Handrail profiles & finishes — with specification codes.
- Door types & finishes — automatic door variants offered, with codes.
- COP model codes — Car Operating Panel variants, with permitted mounting positions.
- LOP model codes — Landing Operating Panel variants, with permitted mounting positions.
- Internal dimension ranges — permissible clear width, depth and height, per elevator category.
- Brand assets — logo in vector format (AI / EPS / SVG), brand colour codes, and approved product photography.
2. 3D Cabin View — Source Assets
A fully interactive 360° cabin view — rotate, zoom and pan — is achievable in a standard web browser, with no plug-in or installation, on desktop, tablet and mobile. To build it accurately for Express, we require:
-
3D models of cabins, doors, COP and LOP Preferred
GLB / glTF preferred; STEP, IGES, FBX, OBJ, SKP or native CAD accepted — these become the interactive cabin, and we will optimise manufacturing-grade CAD for web delivery. -
2D general-arrangement & elevation drawings (DWG / DXF / PDF), dimensions marked Mandatory
Cabin, doors and operating panels — the geometric reference for accurate modelling where 3D files are not available. -
Texture & material references Mandatory
Flat-lit, square-on photographs or scans of each finish, at the highest resolution available — these determine how true each material looks on screen. -
Physical samples by courier As needed
Only where a finish cannot be photographed adequately — typically metallics and deep-textured laminates.
3. System Roles & Saved Design History
- Administrator account holder — name and email of the person(s) at Express who will manage the catalog and user accounts.
- Sales agent accounts — names and email addresses for the initial agent logins.
-
Role capabilities — confirm or amend the defaults:
Administrator: manage agent accounts, maintain the catalog, plus all agent rights. Sales agent: view every saved design and enquiry, build configurations on a customer's behalf, export specification sheets, update enquiry status. -
Saved design history — confirm retention:
Each saved design will record the cabin dimensions, every selection with its specification code, the date, and a customer reference. Default: records are retained until deleted by an Administrator — confirm, or specify a retention period. - Nominated enquiry email — the address where customer enquiries and their attached configurations should be delivered.
The role and retention choices determine how accounts and data storage are set up, and are easiest to settle before development begins.
